UCLA Year of the Arts highlighted more than 45 featured events that reflected the quality and depth of the hundreds of concerts, lectures, courses, film screenings, exhibitions and performances presented annually on campus. The campaign brought together the UCLA Arts departments and public arts, collectively serving to underscore the range and innovation of work being done on campus by artists, scholars and curators.

The inspiration for UCLA Year of the Arts was provided by the unprecedented dedication of two world-class arts facilities, made possible by more than $40 million in private philanthropy from Eli and Edythe Broad and Glorya Kaufman.
